Multi-Media Specialist- Vacancy
Community Podium is a non-profit participatory media organisation dedicated to creating inclusive platforms for voices of marginalised communities to be heard. The organisation is driven by the conviction that promoting access to information and strengthening the inclusion of marginalised voices leads to meaningful public participation. The Multi-Media Specialist will ensure that the organisation effectively serves its audiences by producing multi-media content to accommodate the preferences of its various audience.

Responsibilities
- Plans, produces, creates and manages multi-media content including text, audio, video, infographic, or other forms for the organisation’s news website and social media accounts.
- Develops content strategies and creates multimedia campaigns to be executed across various platforms and to meet the information needs of marginalised communities.
- Creates awareness and visibility of the organisation’s activities and increases stakeholder and audience reach.
- Drafts and pitches proposals for multi-media production including podcasts and documentaries to stakeholders and potential donors.
- Monitors, evaluates and reports on key website and social media performance statistics.
Qualifications
- Degree in Journalism and Media Studies, Design, Film Studies or equivalent
- Proficiency in photography, graphic design, filming, and editing
- Experience creating multimedia content for journalism-oriented context in marginalised communities
- Self-motivated and used to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of and commitment towards editorial values of the project
- Must be creative, self-reliant, resourceful and flexible
