Hero status for Ama2Ks for ED chair
Victor Zamani Ncube who was the chairperson of Ama2ks for Economic Development (ED) has been granted liberation hero status.
According to ZANU-PF’s Secretary-General (SG), Obert Mpofu, the state will cater for his burial expenses and also render benefits to his family.
“I shall be most grateful if you would make the usual arrangements for his burial and payment of benefits to his family”.
Ncube (25) was allegedly murdered on 30 September by four men who left him for dead after beating and stabbing him in a bushy area in Entumbane.
Meanwhile, four men , Wellington Ndebele (24) from Gwabalanda, Melcan Moyo (27) of Mahatshula, Tatenda Tichivangana (35) of Gwabalanda, and Charles Mhindu (40) of Njube have been arrested in connection with Ncube’s murder.
“Circumstances are that in the wee hours of the unfortunate day, a mushikashika driver was ferring people from town to the Western Suburbs along Luveve road with the deceased on board, an altercation arose between the deceased and other passengers that led to the driver stopping the car. All passengers attacked the deceased with stones and shocked him with an electric tesar before chasing him towards the Entumbane bushy area and after some time they emerged from the bush and drove off leaving Ncube who was following them asking for forgiveness. He then fell on the tarmac,” reads a police report.
Upon seeing this, a witness who was coming from church then alerted a security guard at Rio turn car park and they approached the deceased and found him lying on the road gasping for breath, bleeding from mouth, nose, ears and had a stab wound on the left hip. They called for an ambulance that led to his death announcement on the scene.
The suspects were traced through the vehicle registration number that the witnesses had noted.
