Mother of Many Trust shines a light on Ngozi Mine

Mother of Many Trust, a Non-Governmental Organisation driven by a passion to support vulnerable communities, has donated clothes to the Ngozi Mine community. The organization distributed the generously donated clothes from various well-wishers across Bulawayo.

Located on the outskirts of Bulawayo, Ngozi Mine is Bulawayo’s main dump site and is home to approximately 400 households lacking access to basic amenities like electricity, water, and sanitation.

Founder of Mother of Many Trust, Tafadzwa Magodoro, shared a deep passion for helping vulnerable communities, highlighting that
“I’m passionate about helping vulnerable people, and Ngozi Mine is one of the most disadvantaged areas you can come across. These clothes will go a long way in helping those who need them the most.”

Magodoro expressed her distress at the living conditions in Ngozi Mine, especially for children.
“I’m so pained that there are people living under such conditions, especially children, we are definitely going to come back for more including one on one sessions with children and young mothers to have an idea on what each and everyone of them personally need to be assisted with,” she said.

Headman Gideon Tshuma expressed gratitude for the donation, saying,
“I would like to send my gratitude to Mother of Many. May they continue lending us a hand of assistance in every given opportunity.”

Tshuma appealed for well-wishers to assist in getting teenage mothers back to school.
“We have teenage mothers here, some very young, we would appreciate assistance in getting them back to school,” said Tshuma.

One beneficiary of the donation, Praymore, also echoed the gratitude message, highlighting how they can’t afford to buy clothes on their own and that the donation will cover their gaps.

As a young mother herself, she appealed for money-making projects to help her and other young women generate income and become independent.
“We live in a difficult situation; courses like baking, cooking, hairdressing, and making detergents and toiletries can help us a lot,” said Praymore.

Registered in 2019, the Trust aims to create better lives for vulnerable families especially children and orphans.
