Youngest MP abducted, tortured

Zimbabwe’s youngest Member of Parliament, Takudzwa Ngadziore of the Citizens Coalition for Change was abducted by suspected state agents, tortured and dumped outside the capital.
Ngadziore who is party Youth Taskforce leader and Harare Youth Quota MP posted a live facebook video on facebook exposing one of the abductors menacingly charging towards him while clutching a gun.
According to CCC chief whip in parliament Amos Chibaya, Ngadziore was later found beaten to a pulp, and injected with an unknown substance and naked in Mazowe. A well wisher gave him a worksuit to wear.
“If an MP can be abducted in broad daylight in the capital city, think of our activists all over the country,” said Chibaya.
Less than 2 months ago, a CCC councilor and member of the party’s youth taskforce, Womberaishe Nhende, was reportedly abducted and also allegedly injected with an unknown substance.
CCC rejected the process and result of the August 23 election and says only a fresh election will suffice. However, the ruling Zanu PF has vowed that there shall not be a rerun of the election.
The SADC election observer mission said the election fell short of standards governing SADC elections, Zimbabwe’s Constitution as well as Zimbabwe’s Electoral Law.
