Tshabangu hits back at Siziba

Self-styled “Interim Secretary General” of the Citizens Coalition for Change, Sengezo Tshabangu has responded to CCC’s deputy spokesperson Gift Ostallos Siziba’s statement that dismissed the recalling of 15 members of Parliament 17 councillors by Tshabangu from the party, saying Tshabangu is not a member of the CCC.
In his own statement, Tshabangu said the statement by Siziba is regrettable.
“As the party engages on this noble journey, to cleanse itself of undesirable elements and practice, it is disappointing to note some unscrupulous individuals continue to create confusion in the general public, rendering themselves authority to mislead party members and dragging the party into disrepute. The statement by Ostallos Siziba is regrettable,” said Tshabangu.
He added that Siziba together with a few unnamed others tampered with the party’s candidate selection process.
“This small self appointed group of party members were responsible for the mess which the party tries to correct now. They put aside the democratically selected party candidates, as announced by the CCC Independent Selection Panel , the body responsible for independent candidates selection on 18 June 2023,” charged Tshabangu.
Tshabangu sent shock waves when he wrote to the Speaker of the National Assembly and local government minister to recall councillors and MPs in a move that brings to mind the Douglas Mwonzora recalls that paralysed the opposition.
