CCC distances itself from purported recalls

The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has dismissed letters circulating on social media claiming to recall 15 Members of Parliament (MPs) and 17 councillors.
The Members of Parliament purpotedly recalled are Pashor Raphael Sibanda of Cowdrypark constituency , Erick Gono of Lobengula Magwegwe constituency, Nicola Jane Watson of Bulawayo South, Morgan Ncube of Beitbridge West, Nomathemba Sibanda, Velisiwe on Nkomo who are both on Proportional Representation, Prince Sibanda of Binga North , Bright Vanya of Lupane East, Desmond Makaza of Mpopoma- Mzilikazi , Obert Manduna of Nketa, Evidence Zana who is on youth quota, Janeth Dube, Jamsine Toffa, Mlilo Sitabile (PR) and Fabion Kufahakutizwi of Mabvuku Tafara.
However, a statement by the party’s deputy spokesperson Gift Siziba, says the party has no intentions of recalling any of its members.
“Members of the public are advised to disregard these with the contempt they deserve, the party has neither recalled nor does it intend to recall any of its recently elected deployees.”
Siziba also highlighted that the party is taking action against the imposter, Sengezo Tshabangu who posed as the Party’s interim secretary general in the letters addressed to Speaker of the National Assembly Jacob Mudenda and the Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing, Winston Chitando.
“The purported author of these two letters, Sengezo Tshabangu is not and has never been a member of CCC party since its inception but his last known parties are Movement For Democratic Change (MDC-T) and PDP,” said Siziba.
