Mat North records most recoveries, least deaths

It was quite a good day for Matabeleland North as the province recorded 280 Covid 19 recoveries (the highest in the country) without registering any death (lowest in the country) while Bulawayo and Matabeleland South had a combined 200 recoveries from Covid 19.
As has become customary on weekends, where there is lesser testing and some health facilities close earlier, Zimbabwe’s national statistics showed a marked decrease in Covid 19 infections and deaths at 1 370 and 42 respectively. 1 834 new cases and 62 deaths had been recorded on Friday.
The last day of July saw Bulawayo register the highest number of new cases in Matabeleland which was captured as 64, followed by Matabeleland North which had 53 new cases and Matabeleland South with 44 new cases.
The daily death toll for Bulawayo fell 5 deaths from 17 a day earlier, while Matabeleland South recorded 3 deaths and there was no death declared in Matabeleland North.
21 725 received their first dose which therefore brings the cumulative for the first dose to 1 645 599 while 1 6423 received their second dose bringing the cumulative for the second dose to 767 910.
As at 31 July 2021, Zimbabwe has recorded 108 860 cases, 75 856 recoveries and 3532 deaths.
