Cheating Bulawayo man bashes wife

BULAWAYO – A Bulawayo man allegedly assaulted his wife with a golf club after she caught him red-handed being intimate with another woman in their matrimonial home.
Definate Mpofu (32) of Burnside surbub attacked his wife Percilyne Mlotshwa (29) with a golf club on her upper arm before kicking her on the face.
According to court documents, Mpofu had sent his wife away from their home some time back. However on the 12th day of October 2021 at around midday, Mlotshwa made her way to the residence to collect some of her belongings only to find Mpofu playing house with a woman identified as MaNcube. When she enquired as to why the other woman was in her house, her enraged husband responded by meting out an assault on her.
“When I went back to collect my fridge and mattress, I found my husband with another woman and asked him what MaNcube was doing in our house.
My husband started assaulting me with a golf stick on my upper arm, and kicked me once on the face, ” said Mlotshwa.
Mlotshwa did not sustain any visible injuries and the matter was remanded to a later date pending investigations. Bulawayo Police Spokesperson, Inspector Abednico Ncube said he was aware of the case and was still studying it.
According to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) statistics, about 1 in 3 women aged 15 to 49 have experienced physical violence and about 1 in 4 women have experienced sexual violence since the age of 15.
