CCC issues ultimatum to “fraudulent candidates”

The Citizens Coalition for Change has given fraudulent candidates who caused double and triple candidacy for the party on nomination day, a 24 hour ultimatum to withdraw.
In a statement, National Spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere stated that the accused persons could legal proceedings taken against them if they withdraw their candidature.
“Should the fraudulent candidates withdraw their candidature within 24 hours, the CCC will not persist with both civil and criminal proceedings against them,” said Mahere.
The following have been identified as fraudulent candidates: Christmas Goremusandu, Jonathan Machokoto, Freddy Musarirevu, Energy Matika, Goerge Magweta , Hasha Trouble, Loyde Sande, Admire Griza, Terrence Khumbula, Solomon Baramasimbe, Didymus Bande, Irvine Nyaningwe, Malvin Razaru, Farai Padzarondora, Inock Chitoro, Shepherd Kariramombe, Tichaona Nyikadzino, Soneni Moyo , Dingilizwe Tshuma, Albert Mhlanga, Misheck Manyere, Andrew Mutsau, Mbuso Siso, Fikezweni Nyoni, Siboniso Moyo, Methuseli Bhebhe, Ashton Mhlanga, Mildred Ncube, Mkhaliphi Sibanda, Vusumuzi Chirwa, Phumulani Sibanda, Derrick Magumbate, Godfrey Basvi, Jimmy Jalitu, Alexio Nyakudya, Busani Sithole, Mandlenkosi Tshuma, Cephas Ncube, Lovemore Banda, Sambulo Maphosa and One Ncube.
Advocate Mahere revealed that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) is yet to respond to the party’s filed objections against double candidates and that the party has also filed criminal complaints against all the fraudulent candidates under case number RRB No 5585161 ZRP Kopje hence the ultimatum.
CCC have also appealed to the Electoral Court against the Nomination Court’s decision to accept nominations forms from individuals who allegedly forged signatures.
