Bosso fans pin hopes on Kaindu to end title drought

With the appointment of Zambian national Kevin Kaindu as their new head coach, Highlanders fans are cautiously optimistic that their 18-year wait for a Premier Soccer League title may finally come to an end.

However, fans believe that the club’s executive must provide Kaindu with the top-class players he needs to succeed. “Kaindu is capable of building a competitive team and his experience with Zimbabwean soccer will help to rebuild Bosso. We don’t want to win ugly but we have to win while playing good attractive football, Kaindu is the right man for that,” said Ngwenya.

Others, like Ability Mbongeni Sibindi and Mzingaye Mthombeni, acknowledge Kaindu’s coaching abilities but express concerns about the club’s internal issues. They believe that the executive must address these problems to create a conducive environment for Kaindu to succeed.

Sibindi said, “He (Kaindu) knows the club culture well so I think we will do well under him. I foresee Bosso playing good football but I don’t see him winning any titles because our main problem is the executive. If they can back him by buying quality players we might have a chance. For this season he must build allowed to build the team and identify the talent he needs, then we can judge him in his second season.”

“I think Kaindu is a good coach, but Highlanders as a household has got a lot of problems that need to be fixed. He had a good spell with us but we failed to win the league twice from our arch rivals (Dynamos) by just a goal difference,” said Mthombeni.
