The United Zimbabwe Alliance (UZA) has announced several changes within its National Executive structure. According to a press statement released by the party, these appointments and reassignments are guided by the UZA Constitution.

The following individuals have been appointed to new roles within the UZA National Executive:

– Hon Charles Utete as National Secretary General

– Hon Victor Katsande as National Spokesperson

– Hon Beauty Mugurasave as National Chairperson for Women’s Wing

– Hon Grace Juru as National Deputy Chairperson for Women’s Wing

– Hon Jacob Yotam as National Chairperson for Youth Wing

– Hon Elvis Dzvene as National Spokesperson for Youth Wing

The UZA National Executive also accepted the resignation of Hon Kevin Muzhunga, who served as the founding National Secretary General for almost 3 years. Muzhunga cited his work outside of UZA as the reason for his departure, but he remains an active member of the party and will continue to advise UZA leadership.

”In January 2024, the UZA National Executive reluctantly accepted the resignation of Hon Kevin Muzhunga, who was the founding National Secretary General for the party. He faithfully served in this important role for almost 3 years. In his resignation he stated that his time served will forever be cherished, however, he is unable to continue in the duties of his office due to his work outside of UZA. Going forward, he remains an active member of the party and will be aiding Her Excellency, President Elisabeth Valerio and the UZA leadership in an advisory capacity.”

Additionally, the UZA President has announced the first Cabinet member to be appointed to the UZA Shadow Government. Dr. Tadini Wenyika Masaya will assume the office of Secretary for Information & Media. More shadow Cabinet appointments are expected to be announced soon.

These changes come as UZA continues to prepare for future elections and to promote its policies and principles across Zimbabwe. The party’s supporters and stakeholders have expressed confidence in the new leadership appointments and are looking forward to the future announcements of the Shadow Cabinet
