UBH recieves donations for the pediatric ward

One of the leading retail pharmacies in Bulawayo, King’s Pharmacy launched their first  donation drive yesterday at one of their outlets in the Central Business District of Bulawayo that will mainly focus on children from the newly extended United Bulawayo Hospital ( UBH) pediatric ward.

The motivation to take on this initiative arose from what the executive team observed while visiting the hospital and through their experiences.  They saw it fit to give back to the community that has been part of their success and growth through this drive.

 “UBH has always had a special place in our hearts hence this is a way of giving back what the hospital gives to the community,” said Tapiwa Dhlamini, co founder and co director  as he shared his real life experience and how UBH saved his life.

Threads of kindness is the theme of the drive which means to share kindness, love, joy and help others feel confident  beautiful and supported. 

“We are committed to contributing to the well being  of communities and society hence our prices cater for the lower spectrum of the community and now through threads of kindness  we still want to reflect the same business accountability,” added Dhlamini.

King’s Pharmacy contributed dust bins, clothing items for kids and toys only to mention a few. 

” On behalf of the  UBH executive staff and patients, thank you so much for this kind gesture.Words will never be enough to share our gratitude for reaching out to the underprivileged and having other people’s needs at heart. May you be blessed beyond measure,” said Sikangezile Moyo Principal Nursing Officer of UBH.

The pharmacy director  Rumbidzai Dhlamini urged the public to join and support the in-store initiative that continue throughout the year as  handouts are done monthly. 

“Donations are open to the public at  anytime and at any of our outlets in the CBD. Please let us support these children, they are young, vulnerable  and cannot fend for themselves neither do they have anyone to look after them.” she said.
