Lupane East Mp donates to lightning-struck Lupaka Family

The Member of Parliament for Lupane East Constituency Honourable Mbongeni Dube donated food and cash to Lupaka village victims of lightning in Lupane.
Speaking at the handing over of mealie meal and cash to the Luphahla family Hon Dube said that he was touched by this rare occurrence in his constituency.
“I got the shock of my life when I got the news of this rare occurrence, and therefore decided to move around and ask for assistance from well wishers to help the Luphahla family in these trying times. I further call upon all well wishers to assist this family”‘said Hon Dube.
According to Thembinkosi Luphahla, the family’s kitchen hut was struck by a lightning bolt and killed three members of the family while two fortunately survived. The fatal incident caused the untimely death of three siblings namely, Marvelous Chirwa(23), Nomvula Luphahla (10) and Mhlawendaba Luphahla (3).
” I have never seen anything like that in my life.My wife and our four children were struck by lightning and three of our children died on the spot.My wife and one boy gained consciousness after I had managed to salvage them out of the burning kitchen hut”, said a visibly shaken Luphahla.
Mr Luphahla is appealing to the corperate world to assist him in any way possible. All household utensils were burnt beyond recognition and nothing was recovered.
Speaking to Community Podium, a villager who requested anonymity expressed gratitude towards the Mp and called upon other villagers to emulate the plausible gesture.
“I urge my villagers to be united and support each other in such perilous times. We must be of one heart and follow the exemplary gesture of our MP”, said the villager.
