Covid 19 showing no signs of letting up

Covid 19 is showing no signs of abating in Zimbabwe as 2 705 new cases and 62 deaths were recorded countrywide yesterday.
Harare recorded the highest figure of new cases in the last 24 hours which stood at 689 followed by Mashonaland East which recorded 323 cases, Mashonaland West had 295, Manicaland 287, Matabeleland South recorded 207, Mashonaland central 204, Matabeleland North 199 new cases.
Midlands recorded 188 new cases,Masvingo 157 and Bulawayo recorded the least number of new cases at 156.
4 5148 people received their first dose, bringing this cumulative for the first dose to 1 292 642 while 6987 received their second dose, therefore bringing the cumulative for the second dose to 656 830.
Harare,Chegutu,Mutoko, Hurungwe,Goromonzi and other areas in Bulawayo such as Nkulumane and Emakhandeni remain as Covid 19 hotspots in Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe has recorded 91 120cases with 59 627 recoveries and 2809 deaths since advent of the pandemic.
