Poet seeks help

Hwange born poet and script writer Norman Skapila, popularly known as Skaps the Advocate  is appealing for cancer and kidney disease treatment funds.

“I have hit my lowest ebb in life and it is as if death is closing in on me. I cannot afford the medication that could help save my life and I’m asking anyone who may have something to come forward and assist. I would appreciate any kind of help,” he said.

In December 2021, Skaps was diagnosed with kidney disease  which requires dialysis due to the  progression of his condition. A year later , in August 2022  he was diagnosed with the dreaded prostrate cancer.

Skaps has written anthologies that include A Voice In The Dome, The Advocate of The Silent Nation , Inkondlo Ezinhlobonhlobo a Ndebele setbook for Ordinary Level and Now My Heart speaks, and  poems titled  Yatshelela  and Ngikhathele.
