Bulawayo Magistrate in hot soup

 BULAWAYO-A Bulawayo magistrate is in trouble for unlawfully ordering the release of  a motor vehicle under police custody. 
47 year old Stephen Ndlovu of Thorngrove suburb who has since  resigned following the scandal, appeared in court before Magistrate Rose Dube last week. The court heard that on the  7th of  September 2021, Ndlovu presided over a case and gave a ruling that was illegal as he ordered the release of Noah Wambe’s motor vehicle that had been  confiscated by police.
 The vehicle was suspected to have been used to commit various crimes around the city. Prosecutor Naison Chivayo who opposed the release of the silver Honda Fit  said the vehicle had been kept by police as an exhibit for the theft and laundering cases since it was allegedly to commit the crimes.
 Ndlovu  is set to reappear in court on the  21st of March 2022 for continuation of  trial.
